openNaledi – openStar

The name “openNaledi” was conceived in March of 2024. The meaning of the name “Naledi” is: “Star; the morning shining star” (from https://www.thenamemeaning.com/naledi/). It originates from the Sotho, Tswana and Pedi languages. They are three of the official languages in South Africa. So openNaledi : “openStar” in English.

For over ten years we were freelancing by providing our clients with IT (information technology) services and support, and went by the name “Xtranet”. we were in the process of recovering from the unexpected failure of a (solar) project into which we had been heavily investing for the previous 12 months.

Our health had also suffered and out of a brainstorming session we decided to focus on nutritional health as key. We came up with a plan for implementing adequate nutrition for people with the stressful lifestyles we currently enjoy. That plan is reflected in the recommended health supplements that we currently distribute: a variety of food supplements from our range of natural mineral and vitamin supplements.

“Naledi, it means Star”. Add the “open” – simply for everyone.
